Berkhamsted announced finalists in Muddy Stilettos’ Best School Awards

Berkhamsted School are proud to announce that we are finalists in the ‘Prepared for Life’ category of Muddy Stilettos’ Best School Awards 2024! 

The award recognises schools that best prepare Sixth Formers for the real world when they leave Year 13. Thanks to our commitment to preparing students with the character traits, life skills, and experience required to thrive in a dynamic future, Berkhamsted is delighted to be recognised for our commitment to lifelong education. 

A particular initiative that helped us make it to the finalist list is our ‘Student Consultancy’ Programme in partnership with Oxford University. Led by our Head of Leadership, Amanda Attfield, the scheme trains teams of students with essential Management Consulting skills by exploring solutions to a particular business issue facing a local charity, not-for-profit organisation or social enterprise. 

Over the years, our students have benefitted from working with many amazing charities and local not-for-profit organisations. This year our three Clients were: JustTalk, Youthscape, and Berkhamsted Town Council. 

The scheme prepares students for life by developing key employability skills, such as communication, creativity, and critical thinking.
